Beamer is an awesome way to make presentations with LaTeX, but its theme. Starts with a Frame with Pauses between itemized list elements. I am using LyX to make Beamer slides while supporting the use of R statistical commands via the Sweave package. I have no idea how to accomplish either one. I can think of two approaches for what I want to do, and I'm hoping for help with at least one, preferably both, of them: i.e., how to implement each approach using LyX? That color scheme is the one suggested in the Beamer guide, but you can season it to taste. If you want a label that contains the letter i or I (or a numeral that stays fixed), you need to enclose that part of the label in braces.For example, XY1: would produce item labels 'XY1:', 'XY2:' etc.
Be sure to include any punctuation you want.
The beamer class has several useful features: You don't need any external programs to use it other than pdflatex or dvips. In the document, create your list, then right click the first element and choose Insert Short Title. I've been using the very promising and already very useful Kdissert to produce some different types of latex documents. I'm looking for easy instructions on an easy task (I suppose, and hope that it is an easy task).
That said, I would be delighted to reduce this ignorance. It behaves similarly to other LaTeX packages like Prosper, but has the advantage that it works together directly with pdflatex and with dvips. For the standard classes, you can do this by using the enumitem package via a module: Document -> Settings -> Modules, add the Customisable lists (enumitem) module. For example, I don't even know how to install beamer for lyx on Suse 10.0. Beamer will automatically replace any occurrence of 1, i or I with the index of each item in Arabic, lower or upper case Roman numerals respectively. Beamer is a LaTeX class to produce presentations. Insert the label you want for the first item there. It provides this functionality via custom insets. This will create an inset labeled 'opt' for optional arguments. Beamer Fragile Frames: This module allows to include Sweave output or simple verbatim environments in Beamer presentations, using only native LyX functionality and without the need to use any raw LaTeX code. To customize the labels for an enumeration list, put the cursor at the start of the first item in the list and click Insert > Short Title.
